How does escrow work on SkillBid?

Clients fund escrow before work starts. Funds are released only after delivery is approved, with receipts and records generated for every transaction.

What if the freelancer disappears or misses deadlines?

Clients are protected because funds remain in escrow. If delivery is not completed, the client can request resolution and a refund path based on the workflow rules.

Can I get a refund after the first submission?

Yes. SkillBid supports refunds even after initial submission, depending on the dispute review outcome and provider processing timelines.

How long do disputes take?

Disputes are reviewed within 24–48 hours. Final settlement timing depends on the payment provider/bank processing time.

Which currencies are supported?

KES and USD are supported. International clients can pay by card and their bank handles conversion. Payouts are processed via M-Pesa (Kenya).
